Susan Aline Dougherty, LEED® AP
Partner

Susan provides hands-on involvement in the design of all projects undertaken by the firm. As the firm’s creative director, Susan is intimately involved with every project from inception to completion. She is responsible for generating and developing design concepts for each of the firm’s projects.

Prior to establishing Suben/Dougherty Partnership Susan was on the staff of three notable organizations. At the Project for Public Spaces, founded by the famous urban planner and human behavioralist William H. Whyte, Susan worked as a research investigator studying pedestrian behavior in New York’s urban settings and contributed to the development of planning guidelines for the city’s open spaces. Following this, Susan was a project manager for Special Projects at Walker Group focusing on prototype development for retail chain stores and then moved on to head up the Interior Design department at Beyer, Blinder, Belle Architects.
